Of the various test methods Noah Chemicals uses, here are five common analytical methods we often employ:   **Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES)** This method uses inductively coupled plasma to create “excited” ions/atoms, which in turn release a radioactive wavelength specific to their chemical makeup. ICP is a technology often used for the detection of metals. It is also helpful for detecting trace elements bound to proteins, and even for determining the nutrient levels of soils.   **Ion Chromatography (IC)** Ion Chromatography is an analyzation technique that separates ions and polar molecules. Typically used for liquid and solid chemistry, these chromatographs measure concentrations of major anions like chloride, sulfate, and nitrate, as well as many major cations including lithium, ammonium, and magnesium. Ion chromatographs can measure in the parts per billion (ppb).   **Wet Chemical Methods** Noah Chemicals uses a variety of classical and instrumental wet chemistry methods to analyze samples. A few of the most commonly requested testing methods include colorimetry, titrimetry, and gravimetry. From test tubes and beakers, our samples can be analyzed for a wide spectrum of elements, and the data digitized for future use.   **Laser Diffraction Particle Size Distribution** Sometimes known as “laser diffraction spectroscopy,” our laser diffraction distribution method analyzes diffraction patterns in objects ranging from nanometers to millimeters in size. This technique offers rapid results, repeatability, and high sample throughput, and there is no calibration required.   **Fisher Sub Sieve Sizer** Fisher Sub Sieve Sizers use the air permeability principle to measure the average particle size within a given compound. This method is particularly useful when analyzing metals. Used extensively within the pharmaceutical industry, Fisher sub sieve sizers are known as one of the most reliable and cost-effective testing methods on the market. Analyzing custom chemicals is never cut-and-dried.
